This compacting machine takes a standard 50 lb small bale of hay, or other forage and compacts it to half size. This allows for easy and cost effective shipping, and/or for the production of haylage.

Compacting forage makes sense for all producers wishing to transport produce over distances. The additional bales per shipment, twice the usual number, significantly reduce of cost of transportation.

Producers in the horse haylage market find this equipment a cost effective and labour saving method of producing high quality, consistent 'horse hay' for the equine markets. Additionally, this unit can be modified to produce a less compacted 25 lb bale for the household pet market.

Equipment is custom made to your specifications. Several units have been produced for the domestic market (North American) and for Scandinavia and Europe.

Mach IV Compactor for the Domestic Pet Market

The new Mach IV Compactor has just completed field trials. This unit is designed to produce a 1 or 2 kilo (2 lbs 8 oz to 5 lbs), "Bale in a Bag", for the small animal pet market. This unit processes a small flake of hay into a packaged bag, suitable for domestic pets. The original bag size of 14" x 22" gives a finished bale of 11" x 4 1/2" x 18" when sealed.

The Mach IV unit is manufactured offering several options:

1. Stand alone, with hydraulic power supplied by the customer and manual controls
2. Stand alone, with hydraulic power unit and manual controls
3. Fully automated with hydraulic power unit and PLC controls
