| PARTICLE COUNTS NOW UPDATED to ISO 4406:1999 STANDARD |
| Eastern Fluid Power Inc is now reporting ISO Cleanliness Codes using the updated ISO 4406:1999 standard three-tier codes.
As a result the sample reports will now display the xx/yy/zz (4µm/6µm/14µm) ISO Cleanliness codes (ISO 4406:1999), in place of the yy/zz (5µm/15µm) ISO Cleanliness codes (ISO 4406:1987).
The oil analysis industry has slowly been migrating to the revised ISO Cleanliness code reporting standard that came about as the result of the revised standardization method (ISO 11171) for particle counting instruments.
The filtration industry has been working with the new standard for a number of years now, and oil analysis companies need to report the revised Cleanliness codes to stay current with client’s requirements.
What Changes Clients Can Expect
All default ISO Cleanliness reporting will be in the new 3-tier format. The Eastern Fluid Power Inc sample report will show the >4µm, >6µm, >14µm, >21µm, >38µm, >71µm particle counts, and the 3-tier ISO Cleanliness code.
